Finally i have managed to put the very own wedding gallery -section in my pages according to many couples wishes. So that you don´t have to search weddingpictures among retrospective works. Now it´s so simple to go directly to galleries and from there just click wedding gallery "stamp" and there you are - among hundred of wedding photos as a start... I hope you enjoy!

"Long time - no see." Sorry folks, it has been almost one year since I updated my pages last time. From now on you can watch some "new" photos which I captured in Barcelona, in the end of march. I hope you enjoy these "snapshots". From now on I promise you (again) more regular updating! Also I opened my guestbook - let's hope there will not be so much spam with the real messages.

Recently I added excelent wedding pictures to the Juha´s Retrospective works section, first one is 67. Also we have planned to make a new "Wedding photos" -section in the beginning of 2007 for you to see how nice and intimite work JL does. Enjoy and love!

Today I updated Juha Laitalainen´s homepage with beautiful pictures from Tunisia. You can find them in "Exibitions" section "Catdays in Tunisia II". I also added Juha´s phone number in frontpage. The last time I added new material to my web pages was in may 2005. During last summer and autumn I have taken hundreds and hundreds of pictures in my profession. I promised new work pieces more than once a year on my web pages, and here it comes- Twice a year so far. Asi I took some interesting pictures during my four day visit to Riga, the capital of Latvia. I decided to put there streetlife ahosts here...

Almost everything has been fantastic on my pages so far. New visitors from allaround the world have found my pictures interesting. I Have had some nice messages too. Thanks to you, my dearest visitors! However, my guestbook has been the target of Spam messages. It's not nice to get this kind of rubbish on my web page. Nobody wants to put real messages when there are these messages. Fortunately there are possibilities to do something with this problem and I closed guestbook for awhile. Let see if things improve.

There have also been lots of articles about my exhibitions in newspapers during the last years. I have put some copies of those articles on to my pages so you can read about these, lets hope you can all understand finnish.

It's about time to bring some new photos into my pages so that you, my dearest visitors from all over the world do not become bored. It is better to have something new to explore, instead of watching the same old pictures every time...

During last autumn I found a new piece of equipment to take photographic art images. The very first seriously taken cameraphone was a Nokia 7650. This was almost a couple of years ago. I think no photographer took the cameraphone seriously as a working tool, but I did - and I was confused! The VGA camera worked just perfectly as I took my "Autumn Leaves" series. Picture quality was just "bad enough" to create my "impressionistic art"...

Another mobile picture series is "Plumbing" which was taken with a Nokia 3660, it has a similar VGA camera as the Nokia 7650. You can make your own conclusions by watching the "galleries" -section.

I have added new images in the "Retrospective works" -section. I now promise more new work pieces into my pages every now and then - more than once a year. Thank's to almost 10 000 visitors over the world.

It is now exaclty half a year since the launch of my Photowolrdwide web pages. I would like to thank all who have visited my site!
There have now been thousands visitors from continents all over the world!

Over the previous 6 months I have been very busy taking photographs of various subjects. Unfortunately this has restricted my my ability to update these pages on a regular basis. Despite this there is plenty of fresh material I have been planning to put on the site, but this will appear over the coming months / year.
However I have added added a set of new images taken from my recent trip to Madeira. These can be found in the Galleries -section. Please take a look. And feel free to write your thoughts and opinions in my guestbook.

Photoworldwide.com opened!
The site contains lots of material but I concentrated mainly on creating a collage from the past 25 years.
From thousands of negatives and hundreds of slides I have scanned the images which tells about my vision and which have been essential to my photography.

I have mainly used small format equipment in my work: Leica and Nikon. The mid-size images are taken with a Pentax.
Since that I have started to use digital cameras I have selected Canon as my camera-brand. Canon has proved (according to tests and my own experiments) to be one step ahead of the competitive brands...

Nevertheless I have not abandoned the traditional photography. When I shoot B/W images I grab my almost 30 years old Leica and a couple of objectives with me. It has the "feel of a real camera" and the image quality is better than B/W images taken with a digital camera. And the feel of Nostalgy...
In the end all that matters is the result; not the equipment...
